Willie Lee Miller

With grateful hearts for a life that touched many, we celebrate the life and legacy of Willie Lee Miller, who peacefully departed this life on June 23, 2026, at the age of 79.

Willie was born on March 10, 1947, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Harvey and Charlie Miller, along with seven siblings.

Willie was a hardworking man who believed in providing for his family. For 42 years, he faithfully worked for Barrow Roofing, earning the respect of his coworkers through his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. He believed that a man's word and his willingness to work were among his greatest strengths.

Outside of work, Willie took tremendous pride in caring for his home. Anyone who knew him knew his lawn wasn't simply grass—it was a reflection of who he was. He believed a well-kept yard spoke volumes, and he could often be found mowing, trimming, edging, or making sure everything looked just right. Family members knew better than to cut corners when it came to lawn care because Willie would certainly notice. As the seasons change and the scent of freshly cut grass fills the air, those who loved him will undoubtedly smile, remembering the man who believed every yard should be cared for with pride.

One of the greatest joys of Willie's life was his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and every generation that followed. Whether offering advice, sharing stories, making people laugh, or simply being present, he found purpose in the lives of those he loved. His family was his greatest legacy, and nothing brought him more pride than watching it continue to grow.

Willie and Rose Miller shared a journey together that spanned nearly forty years. Like many marriages, theirs experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, and time apart. Through it all, they remained connected by the family they built and the memories they created together. Their story reflected the reality that love is not always without difficulty, but its impact can endure through generations.

Willie enjoyed talking with people and never met many strangers. His quiet strength, determination, and unwavering dedication to work left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Rose Miller; his children, Willie Miller Jr., Rodney Miller, Tangela (Roderick), Shondra, Christension, Lameika, Lawanda, Cindy, and Courtney; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings Billy Joe (Sandra), Charlie Jr,, Sam, Charlene( Walter), Jackie (Tracy),Jimmy(Vera) Ruby, and Loretta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing him.

Though Willie has departed this earthly life, the values of hard work, perseverance, and love for family that he instilled will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.

His memory will forever be treasured, his legacy will continue through the generations that follow, and he will always remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
