William Ray Webster

November 12, 1964 — March 22, 2024

LITTLE ROCK

William Ray Webster was born November 12, 1964, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, to Willa Marie Bagby Webster and William C. Webster.  This would begin his journey in life that would fulfill his purpose.

Ray accepted Christ at an early age at the St. Paul, C.M.E Church in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  He was later Baptized under the Holy Spirit at St. Mark Baptist Church in 1991.  Ray attended the Dardanelle High School and was a graduating member of the Class of 1983.

He enjoyed his working career expanding over 45 years which included International Paper Company, Lamb & Associates, Vestcom, and retiring from Koppers, Inc. in 2022.  He instilled in his children hard-working ethics and discipline.  He was so proud of each of his children and their accomplishments in life.  He always had a love of providing for his children and setting a higher standard of life principles for them.

On December 19, 1992, he married Debra Simpson who would become his confidant, life partner, and soul mate.  He was proud to call her his wife and she remained right by his side until God said – Ray take your rest.

Ray was preceded in death by his sister Shelia Yvette Webster, his maternal grandparents – Joe and Lobelia Bagby; paternal grandparents – Otis and Laura Webster, grandson – Kione Webster, along with aunts, uncles, and relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memories – loving wife of 31 years:  Debra Simpson-Webster; Little Rock,  Arkansas; parents; William and Willa Webster, Dardanelle, Arkansas; daughter, Jessica (Frederic) Moore, Jacksonville, Arkansas; sons:  Willis (Keisha) Webster; Sacramento, California, Timothy Webster, Dallas, Texas; Jaylen (Sunyoung) Webster, Ft. Drum, New York, Joshua Webster, sister, Laura (Kenneth) Martin, Little Rock, Arkansas, aunts, Ruth (Bill) Jones, Ft. Mohave, Arizona, Nora Veasey, Little Rock, Arkansas; and a special sister/brother-in-law LaToya (Julian) Boyland, Bartlett, Tennessee.  He will live forever in the hearts of his granddaughters, Faith Adrienne-Marie Moore, Irie Webster, Nina’Rose Webster, Nola Webster, grandsons, Jah Webster, Javion Webster, Kierre Webster, Kingston Webster, and a host of relatives whom he loved dearly.
