Susan Lynn Satterfield

Susan “Susie G” Satterfield went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 22, 1964, to Lloyd and Lou Ellen Satterfield. She was a proud graduate of Hall High School, Class of 1983.

In 2003, her life changed forever when she met the love of her life, Carl Taylor, and they built a beautiful life and family, bringing their beloved son, Joshua, into the world. Susan deeply loved being a mother and felt fortunate to stay at home to raise and care for him.

Susan was truly one of a kind. She was a genuinely kind person with a true heart of gold. She loved when people gave her nicknames, especially the one given to her by her nephew, Walter, “Susie G”. She was a steady anchor for her loved ones, always there when family and friends needed a shoulder to lean on. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She had a profound love for the outdoors and was a constant supportive presence in Joshua’s life, gladly accompanying him on all of his boy scout camping trips. She also loved traveling and sharing her experiences, especially her trips to other countries. Her family and friends will miss her vibrant storytelling.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Rick Satterfield; parents, Lloyd and Lou Ellen Satterfield, and sister, Janet Handley.

She is survived by her spouse, Carl Taylor; son, Joshua Taylor (Trinity); stepdaughter, Xiomara Fabres; niece, Melissa Hundley; nephew, Lee Hundley; brother-in-law, John Hundley; best friend, Lindey Watkins; beloved nieces and nephews on the Taylor side of the family, a host of other family and friends, as well as her cherished dog, Shadow.
