Mr. Paul Clower was born October 17, 1946, to the late Peyton and Inez Clower in Little Rock, AR. He slept into his eternal life to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 16, 2026, at Arkansas Hospice (Lifetouch Health).
Paul was a devoted believer who loved studying God’s Word and listening to songs of praise. On March 20, 2016, he was ordained as a deacon at New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Michael Perkins. His favorite Bible verses were Psalm 23 and Matthew 6:9.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in service to his country by demonstrating unwavering courage and sacrifice.
After returning home, Paul worked for several employers, including Stylecrest, Black & White Cab Company, the Little Rock School District, and Little Rock National Cemetery.
Paul lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He had a heart of gold and was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. Paul was deeply loved by his family and friends and was an inspiration to all. Leaving a void that can never be filled, Paul will always be remembered for a life lived with immense love and a constant sense of caring.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Peyton and Inez Clower; his brother, Charles E. McCall; his sister, Katie Clower; his sister-in-law, Thelma McCall; his niece, Alicia McCall; and many beloved aunts and uncles.
He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted companion, Reatha Nichols; his son, Charles Anthony Maxwell of Little Rock, AR; his daughters, Yolanda Clower-Williams (Kenneth) of Little Rock, AR, and Katherine Owens of Denver, CO; 37 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory his niece, Tammy Lambert; his great-niece, Brittney McCall; his aunt, Cecil Marie Jarrett; a host of cousins he loved as brothers and sisters; his former wife, Juanita Clower; his special nephews and nieces, Scipio Brown, Taurian Nichols, CW-2 Phillip Talley, and Jada Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.
