Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Patricia Ann Jackson
Patricia Ann Wright was born on October 9, 1954, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Marian and Dave Wright Jr. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and siblings: Raymond Ray Wright, Ronald Ray Wright, Lee Andrew Wright, and Wanda Wright Cato.
Patricia graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1972. A lifelong learner and passionate educator, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Special Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1982. Over the course of 36 dedicated years, she shaped the lives of countless students while serving in multiple school districts including Stuttgart, Jacksonville, Dollarway, Las Vegas, Pine Bluff, and Watson Chapel before retiring in 2021. Patricia held certifications as an Elementary Educator and Special Education Instructional Specialist and was honored as a Lifetime Arkansas Retired Educator.
Patricia accepted Christ at an early age and remained a devoted member of Hope Apostolic Faith Ministries until her peaceful transition. She served faithfully in many roles, including Christian Education Teacher, Youth Director, Worship Leader, Missionary in the Christian Women's Auxiliary, Fellowship Hall Worker, and wherever else she was needed. Her love for ministry was evident in everything she did, especially in nurturing the faith of the next generation.
On August 10, 1972, Patricia was united in holy matrimony to Porter Jackson Jr. From their union came three cherished children: Porter Jackson III, Corey (Joana) Jackson, and Tiffany Jackson. Patricia found immense joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life: Alia Jackson, Corey Jackson Jr., Donovan Haywood, Amber Jackson, Maximus Jackson, Alaina Jackson, Adelyn Jackson, and one precious great-grandchild, Cree Jackson.
Patricia's love extended deeply to her family. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her siblings: Annis Wright, Elder Julius (Charline) Wright Sr., Michael Wright, Horace (Denita) Wright, Dave (Glenda) Wright, and Yvonne (Charlie) Strickland, all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
Patricia Ann Jackson’s life was one of service, love, and legacy. She leaves behind a rich heritage of faith, education, and family devotion—a life well lived and deeply cherished.
