Patricia Lynnette Goins

Patricia Lynette Goins was born to the late Bertha and Henry Wright January 24,1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Horace Mann High School and was united in holy matrimony to Elmer Goins Sr. of West Virginia December 30, 1972. To this union three children were born, Nina, Elmer Jr. And David. She gave her life to Christ in 1973 and was a member of Greater Christ Temple Pentecostal Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for a number of years.

Patricia was a mother to many and a mom to three. She loved children and over the years was a trusted babysitter for a countless number of little ones. Affectionately known as Nanny, she fed, cleaned, potty trained, chastised, loved on, and cared for her babies. She disciplined and loved with the same intensity. One of her hobbies was cooking. Her pound cakes were legendary and requests for jelly and pickles were consistent over the years. She enjoyed a game or twenty of Gin Rummy and was known to bend the rules to win the game. Her smile lit up the room, and her laughter was infectious. She loved her family fiercely and beware to anyone who messed with one of hers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Duncan and Henry Wright, her brother, H. Stanley Ashley, her sister, Damita J. Wright, and son, Elmer Goins Jr. She departed this life November 19, 2025.

She leaves to cherish, her husband, Elmer Goins Sr. of Little Rock, one daughter, Nina Goins of Little Rock, one son, David Goins of Hot Springs , a step-son, Malcolm Goins of Little Rock, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters, Sharon Gober (Emmett) of Memphis, Tennessee, Bobbye Guy of Little Rock, and Shannon Jackson (Derrick) of Little Rock, six brothers, Michael Wright (Mildred), Bill Holt (Deborah), Richard Wright (Sharon), Johnny Wright (Shauna), Tony Wright, and Darryl Wright (Stephanie) all of Little Rock and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
