Omar Z. Abdullah II was born on July 2, 1979, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Mr. Omar Z. Abdullah I and Mrs. Hamidah Abdullah. He completed his studies at the North Little Rock High School in 1997, and went on to attend American Public University, where he pursued a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Omar dedicated twenty years of service to the State of Arkansas before beginning a career with the United States Postal Service, where he served as Supervisor of District Operations until his passing.
Omar loved writing music and poetry, expressing himself with a natural gift for words. He enjoyed reading, cooking, and sharing his creativity with those around him. Above all, he was a devoted family man. His life was marked by integrity, honesty, and a joyful spirit that uplifted everyone he encountered. He cherished every moment with his children and was a loving, steadfast husband to his wife of 26 years. His compassion for children and his unwavering commitment to family and friends were at the heart of who he was.
Omar leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Alishia Abdullah; his sons, Ahmad Abdullah and Quinton Abdullah; and his daughter, Ariyah Precious Abdullah. He is also survived by his brothers, Homer Lane and Na’im (Whitney) Abdullah; his sisters, LaTasha Holmes, Tauheedah (Perry) Holloway, Tanya Ester; his brothers‑in‑law, Minister Dadrian Shells and Corey Jefferson; his mother‑in‑law, Denise Bland and his grandmother‑in‑law, Eria White.
Omar’s love extended deeply to his many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His nephews Darius Abdullah, Kamryn Abdullah, Jamal (Kinaudica) Abdullah Khayree Jones, Demarcus Holmes, Darren Davis, Rayshawn Davis, Corey Jefferson Jr, Ayden Abdullah and Caylen Jefferson. His nieces Cree Abdullah, Iesha (Jalyn)Porchay, Kiarah Abdullah, Ruqayyah Abdullah (Chauncey), Sumayyah Abdullah, Jamalah Jones, Anya Abdullah. His great nephews Khaliq Jones and Namir Abdullah, His great nieces Nina Jones, Kenz’ Lei Butler, Sophia Butler, Gaia Jones, Noveah Abdullah, Karter Porchay, Razi Goodwin, Ryan Porchay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Omar and Hamidah Abdullah I; his brother, Jamal Abdullah; his niece, Christina Williams; and his sister‑in‑law, Precious Jefferson
Though his earthly journey has ended, Omar’s legacy of love, faith, compassion, and joy will continue to live through the countless lives he touched.
