Michael Wayne Williams Sr. was born on July 9,1956, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Elmer Lee Ware, Sr. and Georgia Williams-Thomas.
Michael graduated from Little Rock Central High School where he was active in ROTC. He was employed by Rush Engine, where he excelled in mechanics to the point that the company sent him to the General Motors school in Detroit Michigan and became a Master Mechanic working as a mechanic for several years. He also worked at Otasco in North Little Rock.
Michael loved fishing and cooking with his children; he taught them how to prepare many dishes. He loved canning and was in the process of teaching his baby girl to make homemade chowchow and preserves.
In the early hours of the morning on Saturday, July 5, 2025, Michael went home to be with the Lord. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lee Ware, Sr. and Georgia Williams-Thomas, two brothers, Larry Ware and Norman Williams, and two grandbabies, Aden Williams and Bella Tate.
He leaves to cherish his children: Katrina Rose, LaToya Williams, Michael Williams II (Tina) and Ashley Williams; seven grandchildren, Chauncey Jones Jr., Herodia Kabelele, Ariana McClendon, A’ayahnna Louden, Nigeria Tate, Cheyenne Tate, Mikenzye Williams, and Mikhyel Williams; three great-grandchildren: Nina Jones, Khaliq Jones, and Gaia Jones, all of Arkansas; six sisters: Vernita Jackson, Nelda Brown, Cynthia Thomas, Charlene Ware, Thelma King (Theotis), and Sandra Ware, all of Arkansas, and five brothers: Frederick Williams, Pat Ware, Leon Ware Sr., Leroy Ware, and Dewight Ware, all of Arkansas, as well as host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Michael was a very loving and compassionate person, who will be missed by all who knew him, especially his special niece, Amber Miller, and his cherished friend, Raymond Brock.
