Mary Louise Holland Tucker, age 93, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026. Mary spent her final days under the capable care of the hospice professionals at Comfort Care Center in Little Rock and the watchful eye of her family. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend who loved each member of her family with strength and grace.
Mary was born on February 11, 1933, in Atkins, Arkansas to Robert and Maize Sudduth Holland. She exemplified patience, perseverance and love. She married Theodore Roosevelt Tucker, Sr. and they enjoyed a beautiful life and family until his passing on May 18,1953.
As a mother, Mary was dedicated to her children: Theodore Roosevelt Tucker, Jr. and Sharon Elaine Blockett. She worked tirelessly to teach, provide for, and love them. Mary was a consistent model of how to be an honorable person.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was a beautiful example of strength, kindness, faith, and unconditional love. Her wisdom, warmth, and caring spirit touched countless lives, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever. Mary was known for her devotion to her children and grandchildren. She shared her heart, her home and her wisdom freely with anyone in need.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maize Holland, her husband, Theodore Roosevelt, Sr.; daughter, Sharon Blockett; grandchildren, Theodore Roosevelt Tucker, III and Chucki Blockett, and siblings: Edward Holland, Limuel Holland, Stanley Holland, Leonard Holland Sr, Verlene Dunlap, Earnestine Jones, Bernice Pearson and Helen Wimbush.
Her surviving family includes her son, Theodore Tucker, Jr.; grandchildren, Adrian Tucker (Sherlondo), Christopher Blockett (TN), Justin Blockett, Branigan Blockett, Channing Blockett, Britany Blockett and Tierney Williams; her sister, Bettie Johnson; two devoted nieces, Marva and Jackie Pearson; special friend, Mary Jordan; 21 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
