Lulla B. Saulsberry
Lulla “Lue” Saulsberry began her life’s journey July 6, 1953. She was born in Grady, Arkansas to parents Lottie Bush and Moses Hill. She spent her early years in Grady and moved to Little Rock in 1968. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1971. After high school, Lulla received her initial clerical training at OIC of Little Rock. She was an employee of the State of Arkansas for 40 years before retiring in December 2021.
She married in 1972. To this union, they had four children. Lulla had a protective bond with her children that earned her the nickname “Mama Bear”.
Lulla accepted Christ at an early age in Grady and later renewed her faith at Eastside Church of Christ where she remained a member until her departure.
She was preceded in death by her fathers Cleveland Williams and Moses Hill, son Terence Saulsberry, brothers Joe Nathan Hill and Moses Hill Jr.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, we will miss her dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory: a Mother Lottie Williams, son Gary Saulsberry; daughters Lisa Hardy (Cassius) Augusta, GA and L. Gabrielle Saulsberry Atlanta, GA; Linda Brannon (Ronnie), Mary Lawson, Shirley Bush,Troy Bush (Marilyn), Tyrone Williams, Charles Edward Hill, Willie Lou Reed (Kenneth), Jessie Lee Hill (Susie), Reola Box (Garry), Lillie Mae Hill, Tildon Hill, Beverly Jo Davis (Clarence), Marilvn Allbritten (Fred), Johnny Lee Hill and Robert Lee Hill (Sarah), Grandkids N’Dia Saulsberry, Asia Saulsberry, Ashley Hardy, Brendyn Keith, Jeremy Jones, Michael Jones, Deshaun Jones, Caisen Hardy, and Iyla Grayson. Great grandkids Jayce White and Drue Dilworth and special friend Mitchell Lunnie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20. 2023, 11 a.m. at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock, Ark. The family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2023, from 6-7 p.m. at Hardy Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
