Lisa Woods was born to Lonnie Ray and Brenda Kay Woods as their first child and Brenda’s only child. She would later become the oldest of four siblings, proudly watching over her sisters Angie, Tennille, and Sherri.
After graduating high school, she welcomed her first son, Richard. While working in the medical field as a nurse, she gave birth to her second son, Terrell, four and a half years later.
In the mid-1990s, Lisa entered a new phase of life as both a wife and a mother. Soon after marrying, she stepped out of the familiar world she knew in Arkansas and relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. During this time, her family grew once again with the births of her daughters, Destinie and Alexis, who arrived just one year apart.
As the new millennium began, she and her family settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where she enjoyed life near the ocean. Family was always her priority, and she wanted her loved ones to experience life beyond Arkansas. Wherever she lived, she opened her home and invited relatives to visit. Some even chose to stay and make new lives in the places she explored.
In 2005, it became time to move again. When given the choice between Hawaii and Memphis, she chose Memphis, deciding she preferred to stay closer to home. She joked that she didn’t fly and she wasn’t getting on a boat, and being within driving distance of family made the decision even easier.
Eventually, Lisa returned to North Little Rock and lived her remaining years until God called her home. She leaves behind memories of unwavering love, determination, and a deep devotion to the people she held closest to her heart.
