Josephine Williams

Josephine Mayo Williams, beloved mother, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born June 19, 1953, in Nuecus County, Texas. She was a devoted mother and friend whose love and kindness were shown through her generosity, cooking, and her faith. Josephine was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed caring for children, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Mayo, Sr. and Mattie Mayo, husband Henry Williams and siblings, Rosemary Mayo, Inez House, Eddie Mayo, Johnnie Mayo, Jr., Gene Mayo and Jimmie Lee Mayo.

She is survived by her children Gerald Mayo and Meshawn Nance, her grandchildren Desha Mayo, Malik Thompson, Sydney Mayo, Sklyar Mayo, Keshoun Coleman, Trinity Conner and Tymiya Conner, great grandchildren, Elise Mayo, Jason Witt III, Ermies Watson, Haisley Watson, sister Stella Mack, Rachel Lewis, stepdaughter and special friend Freeman Jenkins.

She will be remembered by her family, friends and community for the unconditional love and support she provided throughout her lifetime.
