Jaylen Dre'Shawn Ewing

Jaylen Dre’Shawn Ewing, also known as "Gucc," was born on April 10, 2003, to Johnny Ewing Sr. and Karen Worsham.

Jaylen was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He lived in Cotton Plant for a short period of time before relocating back to Little Rock. He later moved to Beloit, Wisconsin, where he attended school and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School.

Jaylen was truly one of a kind. He was going to tell the truth whether you liked it or not, and he stood firm in who he was. He loved his family and friends deeply, and he never met a stranger. With his big personality, sense of humor, and joking spirit, Jaylen was always the life of the party. He had a way of making people laugh, smile, and feel seen.

Jaylen enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He adored his grandfather, Johnny Pittman, and loved every moment spent with him. He also loved basketball, music, and “bothering” people in the funniest way—always joking, messing around, and bringing laughter wherever he went.

Jaylen loved to talk about God. He gave his life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Michael Brown at First Baptist James Addition in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, and he carried God with him throughout his life. No matter where he was or what he was doing, Jaylen found a way to bring God into his conversations and his journey.

Jaylen’s life changed forever on October 17, 2021, when his son, Ja’mire Ewing, was born. Jaylen loved Ja’mire deeply. He wanted nothing but the best for him, and his love for his baby boy was real, strong, and everlasting.

Jaylen was also a student at Pulaski Technical College, where he was majoring in Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship. He had dreams, goals, and a vision for his future.

On June 5, 2026, Jaylen transitioned from this earthly world into eternal rest.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Ewing Sr.; his grandmother, Lonzella Ewing; his grandfather, Ronnie Lewis Sr.; and his grandmother, Sara Pittman.

Jaylen leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Karen Worsham; his beloved son, Ja’mire Ewing; his loving grandparents, Johnny Pittman, Doris Glayson, and Justin Hudson; his sisters, Kashawndria Womack (Carlton), Alexus Hardy, Precious Ewing, and Janae Ewing; his brothers, Johnny Ewing Jr., Johnny Ewing III, and Demicah Webb; his nephews, Kaleb, Kingston, and Kaiden; his niece, Ma’Kenlei, whom he loved dearly; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Jaylen’s voice, laughter, truth, humor, and love will never be forgotten. Though his life was brief, the love he shared and the impact he made will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
