Mr. James Leonard Jackson was born on October 11, 1947, in Plum Bayou, Arkansas to George and Beulah Jackson.
James was a loving person, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, friend and loved children. James and his sisters were separated in their youth, but he always made his way to find them. He was employed as a car inspector for several years and retired from Gattis Excavating, Inc. He adopted neighborhood children wherever he resided and would always give them money. He loved to fish for relaxation and play cards. If he could help you, he would. Several years ago, he knew he needed a place to call home after this life and he accepted Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Beulah Jackson, brother, Floyd Jackson and sister, Ruby Lee Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his life sons, Larry Jackson (California), Leonard Jackson, Jr. (Gosnell, Arkansas); daughters, Monique Nelson (Detroit, MI) and Christie Marshall (Gosnell, AR); a caring, loving, and devoted sister, Georgia Jackson (Little Rock, AR); 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
