Mrs. Hattie Lee Wolfe was born on February 13, 1943, in Marshall, Texas, to Josh Turner, Jr. and Jennie Mae Allmond Turner.
Hattie accepted Christ at an early age, laying the foundation for a lifelong faith that would guide and sustain her throughout her life.
She attended the Marshall Public Schools and graduated from Pemberton High School. Following graduation, Hattie relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she was first united in marriage to Guss Riddles, Sr., of Sherrill, Arkansas. From this union, they were blessed with two children.
Following the conclusion of that marriage, Hattie married Vincent Wolfe of Houma, Louisiana. They made their home in Compton, California, and shared more than 30 wonderful years of marriage. While living in California, one of Hattie’s greatest joys was serving as a childcare provider, lovingly caring for countless children and making a lasting impact on the lives of many families.
Later, Hattie and Vincent relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas, where they united with Full Counsel Church. She remained a faithful and devoted member until declining health prevented her from attending services, all the while holding steadfast to her faith and cherishing her church family.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Vincent Wolfe; her brother, Josh Turner, III; her sister, Eula “Cinderella” Turner; and her brother-in-law, Nathaniel Green.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Angela Lorings (Michael) of Little Rock, Arkansas; her son, Guss Riddles, Jr. (Greg) of San Diego, California; four sisters, Cora Green of Upland, California, Mary Brantley of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Delores Graves of Los Angeles, California, and Linda Roach (Kenneth) of Marshall, Texas; one brother, Roderick Turner of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Lauren Wright, Lindsey Henderson (Grady), Destiny Lorings, and Haley Lorings; two great-grandchildren, Mason Rupert and Ethan Rupert; her lifelong friend, Ernestine Wade; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
