Glenn Matthews, a beloved father, son, and brother, peacefully transitioned from his earthly home and answered his Savior’s call to his heavenly home on August 2, 2026. His life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith.
Glenn was born on March 26, 1971, to Earl Matthews and Alice Matthews. Glenn professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas under the pastorate of Pastor David Featherstone.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ulies Sims Sr. and Silverine Sims; and Herman and Nealy “Moun” Matthews; His brother, Douglas Matthews and sister, Tabitha Bryles also predeceased him and is surely now reunited with Glenn in eternal peace.
Glenn's legacy lives on through his children, Verswonna, Glennshauna, Virgwendashia, Glenn Jr., and Marquis Wright; grandchildren, London Matthews and Antavious Matthews, who were the light of his life. His nurturing spirit and steadfast love will forever guide them. He is also survived by his parents, Earl (Laverne) Matthews and Alice Matthews, who provided him with enduring love throughout his life.
His siblings, Gwendolyn Jordan, Reba Bailey, Fallion Matthews, Shamirra Matthews, James Matthews, and Ennis Matthews, all of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Coty Matthews Ware of Cleveland, Ohio.
He will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
