Mother Eddie Jean Leak

March 4, 1935 — September 16, 2025

Little Rock

Eddie Jean Adams Leak was born in Woodson, Arkansas, to Eddie Adams and Willie Ester Pennington Adams on Monday, March 4, 1935. She was the eldest of seven (7) children, four Sisters: Annie Ola, Lillie Beatrice, Deolar, and Leolar, and two Brothers, Willie Edward Adams and Willie “Bill” Houston, all of whom preceded her in death.

Eddie Jean attended school in Woodson. Her family later moved to Hensley, and there she met the love of her life, Andrew Leak, who had recently moved from Chicago, Il. His eyes and heart were captured by “JeanO”, as he affectionately called her. They joined together in Holy Matrimony on January 31, 1952 in the City of Benton. To this union two beautiful and dedicated Daughters were born, Carolyn Ann (Cal-Ann) and Sandra Kay (Sandy Baby). Their two girls were the life Andrew and Eddie Jean! Early in life they were Daddy’s girls until the Lord took him home in June of 2001. After Daddy’s departure, they were ALL Momma’s girls. They LOVED and AFFECTIONATELY NURTERED their Mother, often saying, Daddy will get us if we don’t take care of our Momma, known as his Eddie JeanO! With all diligence, until the day the Lord took her home Cal-Ann and Sandy Baby did what they knew their Daddy would want for his Eddie JeanO.

Eddie Jean lived in Hensley with her husband, Andrew and his Mother, Georgia Lee Carradine Leak for several years, who was the owner/operator of a swinging business, called the Hole. After their second daughter, Sandy Baby was born, Andrew thought it was best to move his family away from the place called the Hole. Through the providence of God, Andrew was led to Sweet Home, Arkansas, which would be just the place where God would have Eddie Jean to meet a powerful Woman of God, Mother Media Hudson, who introduced her to The Lord Jesus Christ. Eddie Jean joined the Sweet Home Church of God in Christ under the Pastoral Ministry of Elder James Watson, as she followed Mother Hudson, and aged women who faithfully trained young Eddie Jean in the way of HOLINESS. She was inspired to become a Young Inspiring Missionary in the Church. Eddie Jean’s Father was an Elder at the Woodson COGIC, which caused her to move her membership there to be with her Father, who was under the leadership of Superintendent Jewel Withers, Sr. The Missionary work of this young Inspiring Missionary started in her home. There she used her Godly influence for impacting the lives of her Daughters, Grandson, Terence Demedrick Williams, and anyone who would listen to her as she talked about the goodness of the Lord.

Even though Eddie Jean’s husband moved his family away from his Mother’s home, the entrepreneurial spirit and Hospitality demeanor of a swinging business did not depart from their hearts. Eddie Jean and Andrew were always serving and feeding people, whether it was in their home or restaurant. Fishers Bar BQ was the place where men and women of God from all over the world would eat good food and have good fellowship where Mother Leak flowed in the spirit of a Phebe: a SUCCOUR/HELPER of many, Romans 16:1&2.

Missionary Eddie Jean Leak was successful in leading her first-born Daughter, Carolyn Ann into a dramatic conversion into Christ, who came under the leadership of Saint Dewitt Hill at Greater Trinity COGIC in Little Rock. Being a Family oriented person, and thoroughly delighted about her Daughter’s life in Christ is where she want to be. Thus, Mother Leak made another move to be in the same Church assembly with her Daughter. Under the Leadership of Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr. and the Word of Outreach Christian Center would make Mother Leak’s last and final place of Ministry. At the age of 24, she became a thriving young Missionary, receiving the GRACE of God for birthing many Sons and Daughters into the Kingdom of God during these 66 years of serving her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Mother Leak leaves to cherish her memory, her Daughters, Carolyn Ann, aka DrCAS, and Son-in-love, as well as her favorite Pastor, Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr.; Daughter, Sandra Kay and Son-in-love, Raymond Harris; Grandson, Terence Demedrick Williams; three Great-Granddaughters, Ashton Marie Williams, Karis De’Shae Williams, and Trinity Joi Williams; one Great Grandson, Casper Williams; Special Niece, Angela “Ann” Williams; Special Bonus Granddaughter, Alisha Harris Hudson (Johnathan); Bonus Sister, Teretha Lowe (Kenneth), her Word of Outreach Church Family, as well as a host of Nephews, Nieces, Great-Nephews, Great-Nieces, Family and Friends.
