Davidea LeNae Hicks-Simpson was born on August 29, 1981, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and filled the hearts of many with love until she departed this life on February 5, 2026. She was the cherished daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Hicks. LeNae was a proud graduate of Parkview Arts & Science Magnet High School, where she shined as a member of the dance and volleyball team.
Following high school, LeNae attended Pulaski Technical College, where she took courses and developed a keen interest in computers.
From a young age, LeNae accepted Christ and was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was also a member of the church choir during her time at St. Mark Baptist Church.
As she grew older, LeNae faced life’s challenges with courage. In later years, she endured health struggles and was embraced by the love and support of those closest to her.
LeNae was a vibrant soul who never met a stranger, always had a huge smile on her face, and had a warm heart with a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she would go. She is survived by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Hicks; her children, DaShaela Harris and Jaydon Simpson, who filled her heart with love and pride; her sister, Lynn Hicks, and her nephew, LaMicah Hicks; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, who will always cherish her memory.

John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
