David Lee Starr

David Lee Starr was born on July 20, 1960. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Scott Grimes Correctional Facility Medical Unit in Newport, Arkansas.

David was born to Willie C. Starr and Evelane Geraldine “Gertie” Earnest (June) in Holly Grove, Arkansas. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Brenda Starr – Reams (Bernard), special cousins, Stanley Earnest and Reggie Earnest, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

His favorite gospel songs were, “I’m Just a Nobody Trying to Tell Everybody About Somebody Who Can Save Anybody”, “Sinner’s Prayer”, and “God’s Got It”.
