Craig Anthony Cook was born December 4, 1962 to late Gloria D. Cook and the late John Coleman. God called Craig home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at UAMS hospital. Besides his parents, Craig was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Faye Cook, Barbara Jean Kelly and Ceretha Mae Kelly as well as his brother, Ricky Earl Cunningham and his maternal grandmother, Vetrue Lee Walker.
Craig gave his life to Christ at an early age at Saint Luke Baptist Church of Holly Grove, Arkansas. He attended Holly Grove schools and was a proud member of the graduating class of 1981. After graduation, Craig furthered his education at Shorter College in North Little Rock, AR. Craig had a longtime career as a cook. He worked at Cheers restaurant downtown for many years and at other local restaurants until he could no longer work.
Craig loved his family. He Lovingly took care of his younger brother, Ricky Cunningham, during Ricky’s illness. And when his mother got sick, he moved back to Holly Grove to take care of her. After her passing and due to his failing health, he moved back Little Rock to be with family.
Craig will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Liza Moneik Page, four sisters: Arsenia Thomason, Deborah Petty, Veronica (Donald) Booth of Little Rock, AR and Myra (Dale) Taylor of Jonesboro, AR. Two brothers: Michael (Tia) Cook of Novi, MI and W.C. Coleman of Kansas City, MO and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
