Courvoisierre Xavier Charles Hardy

June 1, 1999 — January 2, 2023

Courvoisierre Xavier Charles Hardy was born on a stormy night on June 1, 1999 to Charles Hardy, Jr. and Shemika Lewis.

At a very early age Zay, as he was affectionately called, was mischievous but loving at the same time. The youngest and the wildest, he was a born leader; once he made his mind up, there was no changing it. Never one to second guess himself. Full of confidence and fearless, Zay loved to be flashy-standing out amongst any crowd and always willing to try new things whether they be good or bad.

Despite his tattooed and rugged exterior, Zay was a soft, caring guy, that loved his family and friends unconditionally. He used his wit and charm to get him out the worst of situations and no matter the circumstances, you could always depend on him.

On April 6, 2022, Zay rededicated his life to Christ by being baptized in Jesus name at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock by his pastor, Michael Jenkins, Sr.

A natural competitor, he loved football, an iron man athlete, he played for: C&A Wolfpack, New Youth Giants, and the Jacksonville Wild Hogs. He continued to excel in sports playing for Mills High School from the ninth to the eleventh grade. He transferred his senior year to Joe T. Robinson High School where he signed a national letter of intent to play football with Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.

Zay had it all: charisma, individuality, and swagger. None can compare to the impact he left on his family and those who knew him well.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; Charles Hardy, Jr., Shemika (Robert) Brown, his siblings; Mijah Hardy, Chasten and Caleb Lewis, and Caleb Lewis, his paternal grandparents; Charles Hardy, Sr. and Velvatina Hardy, maternal grandparents; Tyrone (Sharon) Lewis, Sr., and Mildred (Marvin) Taylor, great-grandmother; Erma Jean Shavers, two nieces he adored dearly; Alaia Davis, Caleia Lewis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
