Cortez Jawan Smith was born April 17,1995 to Terry C. Smith Sr. and Lashawnna R. Williams.

Cortez departed his life on October 26,2024. 

He was preceded in death by great-grandmothers; Orastine Thomas and Julia Mae Howard, great great-grand mothers; Fannie O’donald and Exie Mae Lewis, uncles; Anthony O’donald, Robert Thomas and Michael Howard, an aunt; Nakita Plummer, nephews; Trayvon James and Traveon Gravely, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory parents; Terry C. Smith Sr. and Lashawnna R. Williams, his grandmothers; Linda Smith and Mary (Raymond) Long, siblings; Michael Layton, Terry Smith Jr., Torrez Smith, Shatara Smith, Ashaunti Shells, J’queze Perkins, Shakala Perkins, Aryian Shells, Aniya Glass, Terrious Cranford, Terrick Smith, Teondra Smith and Cornelius Smith. Uncles Larry Drone, Nathan Richardson, and Ed Harris. Aunts: Natalie Richardson, Tiffany Smith, Natailie (Raymond) Johnson, Jasmine Smith and Khadijha Smith. 25 nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
