Corey Earl Coleman was born on December 27, 1972, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the Old Baptist Hospital to Willie and Verline Coleman Sr.
He grew up in the church, attending Bible study, children's church, and vacation Bible school from childhood through his teenage years. Corey attended Parham Elementary, Garland Elementary, Mabelvale Middle School, and graduated in 1992 from J.A. Fair High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Corey lived his life to the fullest. He didn't let anything hold him back or get him down. His first job was at the Dairy Bar, and he later worked at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville and McDonald's in Little Rock.
Corey was a loving person with a big heart. He loved to make people laugh, dance, and rap. Most of all, he loved his family, and nothing stopped him from being at family gatherings. His favorite color was red, and his energy was contagious - lighting up every room he entered Corey was a proud father and grandfather. His legacy lives on in the strength, love, and resilience he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sam and Bernice Westmoreland, Kenneth and Alberta Keeling, Amos Sr. and Sammie Ella Coleman and his sister Adrienne Denice Coleman.
Those left to cherish his love and memories include his parents: Willie Sr and Verline Coleman , his daughters; Brittany Eggerson, Moesha Coleman; three grandchildren: Deon Haygood Jr., McKenzie Eggerson and Emoni Brown; his three brothers Willie Coleman Jr. (Tosha), Arlis Coleman, and Cornelius Coleman; his sisters Rosalind Coleman, Valencia Coleman, and Alison Coleman; a special friend April Brown; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
