In Loving Memory of Christian Taylor-Bryles
His Life, His Story, His Legacy
On February 9, 2006, a precious baby boy named Christian Taylor was born at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Sammantha Yancy and Christopher Dante Taylor. From the moment he entered this world, Christian became a blessing to his family, bringing with him a love that would forever leave its mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
While Christian’s life was just beginning, his family experienced a heartbreaking loss when his biological father, Christopher Dante Taylor, departed this life on August 3, 2006, before Christian reached his first birthday. Although their time together on earth was brief, the bond they shared through life and legacy would forever remain a part of his story
But God, in His infinite wisdom, had already prepared another chapter of love for Christian’s life. As a young child, Christian was blessed with the love and presence of Tommy Bryles Jr., who entered his life through his relationship with Christian’s mother, Sammantha. Tommy embraced Christian wholeheartedly as his own son, and in 2008, he made that commitment official through adoption and Christian became Christian Taylor-Bryles. Following his marriage to Sammantha, together they built a family rooted in love, devotion, and togetherness. Christian’s life was extremely blessed by the love and legacy of three parents: a mother whose unwavering love and devotion nurtured him from the very beginning, a father who gave him life and whose legacy would forever be a part of his story, and a father who lovingly raised him, providing a comfortable upbringing, leading by example, and instilling in him the values, guidance, and tools needed to grow into a strong and loving young man.
Christian spent his childhood growing up in the Rose City community of North Little Rock, Arkansas. His educational journey began at Redwood Head Start in Dixie, where he took his first steps toward learning and discovering the world around him. He later attended EStem Public Charter School, completing his elementary and junior high school education before continuing to EStem High Public Charter School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
In 2024, Christian proudly reached an important milestone when he graduated from EStem High Public Charter School, earning his high school diploma. Following graduation, he wasted no time stepping into the next chapter of his life, immediately entering the workforce and beginning his journey into adulthood.
Yet, of all the milestones Christian experienced, one of his greatest blessings came on May 7, 2024, when he welcomed his one and only son, Christian Taylor-Bryles Jr., affectionately known as “CJ” and lovingly called “His Twin.” In his son, Christian leaves behind a beautiful reflection of himself, a precious continuation of his name, his legacy, and the love that will live on for generations to come.
Christian found enjoyment in the simple things that made life special. He had a love for basketball, music, and movies. Whether enjoying his favorite songs, watching a good movie, or sharing moments with those around him, Christian had his own unique way of making memories. Those everyday moments, once taken for granted, have now become priceless treasures in the hearts of his family and friends.
Throughout his childhood, Christian was also introduced to the love of Christ through his family’s faith and occasional attendance at First Baptist Church of North Little Rock, where his beloved grandmother, Teresa Tate, is an active member. Through these experiences, seeds of faith were planted in his life, and his family finds comfort in the love, grace, and promises of God.
Although Christian’s earthly journey ended far sooner than anyone could have imagined, his life was not measured simply by the number of years he lived, but by the love he gave, the relationships he shared, and the memories he leaves behind.
A Legacy of Love
Christian leaves to cherish his precious memories and carry on his legacy his only son, Christian Taylor-Bryles Jr. (CJ); his loving mother, Sammantha Yancy-Bryles; his devoted father, Tommy Bryles Jr.; and his beloved siblings, Londyn Bryles, Korey Bryles, and Tommi-Sa’Mone Bryles.
He also leaves his loving grandparents, Samuel and Christina Yancy, Teresa and Willie Tate, Tommy “Big Tommy” Bryles Sr. and Suzanne Bryles, and Derrick Taylor; Great Grandparents, Annie Lou Winston, Mary Watson, and Leodis Brown. He leaves his beloved special friend, Keli Brown with whom he shared a meaningful and loving relationship; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Christian was preceded in death by his biological father, Christopher Dante Taylor (August 3, 2006); his beloved grandmother, Cassondra Brown (March 12, 2025) who he shared a very special bond with; and his two cherished great-grandfathers, Robert Winston Sr.(Annie Lou) and Roy “Poppy” Taylor (Katherine).
Christian was deeply loved by so many. His presence brought meaning to the lives he touched, and his absence leaves a space that no one else can fill.
As we gather to celebrate his life, we choose to remember not only the sorrow of losing him, but the blessing of having known him. We will remember the little boy who grew up before our eyes, the young man who was finding his way in the world, the brother, the grandson, the nephew, the cousin, the friend, and, most importantly, the father whose love and legacy will continue through his son.
Christian, your story did not end when your earthly life came to a close. It continues through every memory, every shared laugh, every heart you touched, and every time we look into the eyes of your precious son, CJ.
You were loved from the very beginning, you are loved beyond your passing, and you will be loved for all Eternity.
Forever 20. Forever Our Christian.
