Charles McCollum Jr., 72, transitioned from this life April 5, 2026 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was born September 30, 1953 to the late Charles W. McCollum Sr. and Willie Mae McCollum.

May of 1972, Charles received his diploma from England High School. Shortly after he joined the Air Force Reserve. He established a successful career as a commercial truck driver with Petro Corporation.

On March 12, 1981, Charles was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Margaret A Thomas. To their union, four children, were born. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Full Counsel Metro Church where he served on the security and parking team, van driver, and men’s ministry.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. Thomas, His father Charles W. McCollum Sr., mother Willie Mae McCollum, and sister Betty (Ray Sr.) Smith.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children; Gregory “Lamont” (LaKea) McCollum, Monica (Derrick) McCollum, Tamarisk “Shelly” Marshall, Sheronda McCollum. Nine precious grandchildren; Lauryn, Maxton, Nathan, Ashley, Josh, Derika, Javian, Destinee, and Zariah; his dear brothers Carl (Winona) McCullen, Jerry (Cathyln) McCollum and Nicholas Irvin; his loving sisters Linda (Andrew) Davis, Juanita McCollum and a host of relatives and friends.

His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
