Benjamin "Rickey" Price Jr. was born on December 15, 1956, to the late Benjamin Sr. and Josephine B. Price in Helena, AR. He answered the heavenly call on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Saline Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
He was baptized at an early age at Spring Lake Missionary Baptist Church. Benjamin was a proud high school graduate of Central High School, class of 1975. He bravely served in the U.S. Army, enlisting in October 1975, and received an honorable discharge. One of the most precious moments in his life was the birth of his only child, a beautiful daughter named Tanisha Renay Price, who was the apple of his eye and a true daddy's girl.
Ben was a dedicated professional, working as a commercial truck driver for J.B. Hunt and Harold Ives. He took immense pride in being a bricklayer's son, inheriting numerous labor skills from his father. Benjamin had a gift for connecting with people, and his warm smile, kind heart, and respectful nature made him a beloved friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Josephine B. Price, and brother, Elliott L. Price.
His legacy lives on through his daughter, Tanisha Price; granddaughters, Tanaiah Sims, Anya Garner, and Anyla Garner; GrandPup, Chicken; sisters, Margaret Isum and Cassandra Price-Perry ; brothers, Bennie (Anglia) Howse, James (Dorothy) Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
