Barbara Jean Hune was born on November 7, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Virginia Board and Leroy Evans she departed this life on September 29, 2026, at the age of 86.
Barbara was a woman of deep faith who believed in Christ and faithfully worshiped their Saint John Missionary Baptist Church Her love for God guided her life and was reflected in her kindness warmth generosity and service to others.
Barbara lived a life filled with people purpose, faith and love she had a special gift for making people feel welcomed and cared for.
She loved cooking family gatherings flowering gardening church traveling music gospel helping people and decorating her home was a place of warmth delicious food and beautiful touches that made everyone feel at ease.
Barbara found immense joy in her family she cherished time spent with her children’s grandchildren and great grandchildren she also cha treasured the memories Made through laughter conversations celebrations and everyday moments
Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, grace and devotion. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Barbara's love for her family knew no bounds she was a devoted mother a proud grandmother and a loving great grandmother whose heart was always centered around those she loved her faith in Christ shaped her life and she will always be remembered as a woman of compassion grace and strength.
She was preceded in her death by her beloved husband Billy Hill.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Marilyn Macon; Marvin (Kim) Macon; Annette Knuckles; Theresa (Billy) Booth; Alvin Macon; Tracy Banks; and LaShunah Norris. She also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, church family, and dear friends.
Barber will be remembered for her gentle spirit, beautiful smelling unwavering faith and the love she gave so freely.
