Barbara Jean Anderson was born March 26, 1954, to the late Henry Boyd and Mattie Vera Boyd in Forrest City, Arkansas. She departed her life on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Hospice Home Care.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman Anderson, father Henry Boyd, Brother David Anderson Boyd, Sisters Betty Jean Boyd and Vera Mae Boyd.
She confessed a belief in Christ at an Early Age and United with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, AR. In 1980, she joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR where she served on the Usher Board, Choir, Sunday School Teacher and Girl Scout Leader.
On July 10, 1976, she united in marriage to Herman Anderson, to this union two children were born.
Barbara graduated in 1972 from Forrest City High School. She loved cooking, reading, dancing, shopping and spending time with family. She was known for being quiet but when she spoke, we all listened. She was very loving, caring, hardworking and a strong beautiful woman. Even through her storm of sickness she NEVER lost her Faith.
She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield in August 2012. After retiring, she couldn't be still and enjoy the retirement life. She started working part-time at Walmart on Hwy 10 and then heard about a position over at UAMS in the claims department. She worked at UAMS for exactly 1 year before staying at home with her first grandbaby for 9 months.
In 2015, she started working at Walmart on Shackleford where she made numerous hearts felt connections with not just her co-workers but her customers as well.
She leaves to cherish, her children LaToya and Ryan Anderson, Granddaughter Zaiden Martin, Mother Mattie V Boyd, Four Brothers John (Eloise) Boyd Garland, TX, Roy Boyd, Rickey (Marlene) Boyd Spring, TX, Michael (Veronica) Boyd Forrest City, AR, Sister Patricia Sims Little Rock, AR, Two Aunts Lillie Wren and Rosetta Williams both Bronx, New York, One Uncle Robert (Bonnie) Wren Chicago, IL and host of In-laws, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.
