Arthur Lee Harris, Jr., transitioned on July 14, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born September on September 20, 1940, Arthur Lee Harris, Sr. and Murtle Webb Harris in Keo, Arkansas. He committed his life to Christ at an early age.
After graduating from Gartrell High School in England, Arkansas, he entered the United States Army and received an honorable discharge after his years of service. He developed a passion for cutting hair and enrolled in the local barber college, setting his skills to work on “9th Street” (former Black Wall Street pre-gentrification). He also had a passion for all kinds of sports, especially boxing and horse racing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nettye Curnella Shaw Harris; his parents, Arthur Lee Harris, Sr. and Murtle Webb Harris; twin sister, Olly Harris Robinson; his son, Adrian M. Harris, and his grandson, Victor “Lil Vic” Shaw.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his children: Andre Harris, Dexter (Lisa) Harris, Victor A. Shaw, Sr., Vonda L. Harris, Michelle Y. (Mark) Harris-Rashad, and Louweegi Dyer, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
