Arnold Carter was born on November 18, 1943, to Elnora Bonner-Morris and James Carter, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the baby of 9 children.
He graduated High School in 1961, and while in school participated in the marching band and professional swimming and even boxed in his younger days.
He was an active soldier in the United States Air Force for four years and was a service member in the Air National Guard for 19 years, working as a cook and in supply. For over 39 years, he worked as a supervisor with the United States Postal Service.
He was baptized at South Temple Church of God in Christ by Superintendent Samuel McGowen in the 1990s.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elnora Bonner-Morris and James Carter; his brothers, Tillman Morris, Edward “Red” Morris, Jr., William “Billy” Morris, Reverend Floyd John Morris, Richard “Strechit” Morris; sisters, Eddie Lee “Poochie” Raynor, Estella Ward, Doris Morris-Taylor, and his granddaughter, Kayla Leeshawn Payne.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sons, Tau Jamahl Carter and Samuel James Carter; his daughter, Kamilah Carter, and two bonus children, Cynthia L. Ragland and Kevin D. Taylor.
