Ahmya Sade Lee was born on October 10, 2003, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at Baptist Hospital, to Kevin Lee and the late Rachel White Lee. She was born alongside her beloved twin brother, Devin, forming a bond that would remain unbreakable throughout her life.
Ahmya, affectionately known as “Mya,” was raised in Little Rock where she attended public schools and later graduated in May of 2022 from John L. McClellan Magnet High School. Following graduation, she began working at Waffle House, where her warm personality and kind spirit were felt by all who encountered her.
Mya was known for her sweet and gentle nature, carrying a heart full of love, compassion, and kindness. She had a natural gift and passion for beauty, becoming an extraordinary hairstylist and makeup artist. Her creativity and talent allowed her to bring out the beauty in others, while her caring spirit made people feel valued and seen. She also had a love for cooking, a trait she proudly carried on from her grandmother.
At an early age, Mya accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized in Jesus Name at Greater Christ Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas, under the leadership of the late Bishop Leodies Warren, Sr.. Her faith remained a quiet but steady foundation throughout her life.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Ahmya transitioned from this life at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Zamari Emanuel Lee, who passed with her; her mother, Rachel White Lee; her maternal grandfathers, Robert Sterly and Homer Buckley; her paternal grandfather, James Lee; and her aunts, Lisa White and Crystal Buckley.
Ahmya leaves to cherish her precious memory her three loving children: one daughter, Malani Rachel Nelms; and two sons, Zion Lakairo Marshall and Zophir Yvonne Lee, all of Little Rock, Arkansas; her father, Kevin Lee of Marianna, Arkansas; three brothers, Hezekiah (Kyra) White of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Devin Lee (her twin) and Jacob Lee, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; her maternal grandmother, Evangelist Mary Ann Buckley of Little Rock, Arkansas; her paternal grandmother, Ms. Jearlean Cross of Marianna, Arkansas; a special aunt who played a significant role in helping raise her and her children, Evangelist Crystal White of Little Rock, Arkansas; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Ahmya’s life, though brief, was filled with love, purpose, and a light that touched everyone around her. Her legacy will live on through her children and all who were blessed to know and love her.
